Brandi and I worked at Walmart together. We have both moved on to better things, but I remember harassing her on a regular basis about letting me shoot her wedding. I don’t think she and Josh had picked a date at that point, but I was thrilled when she emailed me about engagement photos and photographing their upcoming wedding next April.
They’ve been engaged awhile, but let me just tell you, they are so cute together. He makes her giggle incessantly and I’m pretty sure she secretly loves it. I love being around people in love. And even better, I love having the honor of capturing it to share it with all of you.
I cannot tell you how much fun I had photographing Sarah and Ryan’s wedding. The location was perfect, (right up my alley, haha), the lighting was beautiful and the people were full of joy. Joy was just pouring from everyone. It was amazing. I could go on and on really, but here’s a slideshow of my faves. Put on some happy, romantic music and play that thing.
Sarah and Ryan, I cannot thank you enough for the trust you placed in me to capture your big day. Everything was beautiful and perfect and I couldn’t be happier to have had the opportunity. Love you guys.
I finally shot my first wedding. And it couldn’t have been with nicer people! They were just so thrilled to have me there, I’ll admit I was humbled and honored to be a part of their special day. Jessica and David are just meant for each other. He is so sweet with her, always looking out for her. The way she looks at him just melts me. I’m a sap, really.
I have so many favorites, that I put them into a slideshow for you. Put on your favorite sappy music and let it play.
Thank you Jessica and David for putting so much trust in me to capture something beautiful for your big day. I still can’t get over how much faith you put in this girl who had never done a wedding in her life. I’m so glad you love them! Jennifer and I had a wonderful time.
While this does start my entry into the wedding photography genre, I will say that I will only be taking on a limited number of weddings per year. If you like what I’ve done here and are having a small ceremony, contact me for prices. Thanks!
I love it when people can make each other so happy. Deep down I am the biggest sap. Don’t tell anyone. It would ruin my cool ninja vibe.
Anyhoo. Carli and Jeff are from Pennsylvania and were visiting family here in Kansas over Christmas. I am honored they asked me capture their relationship while they were here.
They met online, are fellow sports lovers and I could definitely tell they are made for each other. He proposed in the Virgin Islands. They said it was a business trip, but really can you do call anything business in a place like that? And I think the couple that laughs together is the couple that lasts. You know what laughter is, right? The social glue.
So Jeff did such a good job making Carli laugh that I just put them in fun locations and good light and let the magic happen on it’s own. It’s the best way.
They met 7 years ago in college. Their first date was a KSU basketball game, which would lead to a tradition special enough to launch a marriage proposal at that same yearly game. Jan told me, “it just fit us.” I met Jan and Brandon on a beautiful Saturday morning, totally excited to be doing my first engagement shoot. Sure, I’ve photographed couples before, but this was an official engagement session and it couldn’t have been with nicer people. I’ll say it again, I’ve been totally blessed to work with fantastic people in this business. People that I wouldn’t mind hanging out with a bit longer and chatting. Love it.
What I love about Jan and Brandon is that they are opposites: physically and personality-wise. And they make it work and are super cute doing so. One of the funniest things Jan told me was that they spend most of their relationship negotiating. Well, then you’re just like an old married couple and if you master the art of fine negotiating, then you’ve got it made.
I wanted to show you so many of these, but in the tradition of the sneak peek, here’s just a taste. ?
Best of luck to the two of you and what an awesome, exciting wedding you’ll have overseas! Enjoy every minute of it!
